  My animal is a goldfish. The scientific name of a goldfish is Carassius auratus. Carassius auratus means small golden or orange-red. Goldfish grow between 4 and 7 inches. Goldfish live in the wild, goldfish can be found in slow-moving, freshwater, like ponds and lakes. Goldfish eat Shelled peas, Bloodworms, Brine shrimp, and Ghost shrimp.
